Art market at mica

On Wednesday December 9th, MICA opened to the public Art Market, a yearly event for the holiday season where MICA students, faculty, alumni and Baltimore arts organizations come together to sell handmade products. This year, my class Retooling the Cottage had a booth titled : endecagon a pop-up show of 11 makers! I was part of a group of artists that were learning about entrepreneurship and how to launch a small business. The products ranged from health and wellness, plushies, wearables, home and kitchen items and conceptual projects. élula was officially launched on Wednesday selling lanterns, coasters and ornaments. I was excited to see our class project finally in the run at our booth that day. With some shipping to be done at the end of the week, élula had a first great week selling its lanterns.
